First Time Mom

Published by 1sttimemom at 8:09 pm under Uncategorized Edit This

Becoming a new mom is one of the hardest things I have ever encountered. I’m 26 years old and I still have so much to learn.  Just when I thought I couldn’t be more confused in my life, I became a mom to a beautiful baby girl!  From day one, she cried, and cried, and cried.  I thought I was doing something wrong until I realized, I was just blessed with a beautiful, cry baby. Smile  My brother laughs at me because has two kids and they don’t make a sound. They only cry when they really need something. The crazy part is, he was the trouble maker in my family and I was the goody goody.

I’m getting used to my daughters habits but have to admit, NOTHING could have prepared me for this journey. I will continue to check my list each and everytime she cries: is she wet, poopy, gassy, hungry, or just plain bored…

Continue to read future blogs to read about all of my special findings of being a first time mom.

I’m not a mom yet, but I have a LOT of experience with babies. I even worked in a daycare with infants for a while. Something I have noticed is that babies are very perceptive. If you feel unsure or nervous, they sense it and get upset.

Relaxing and just trusting yourself is the best thing. You will learn what she needs. Sometimes, it will just be that she needs her momma.

Good luck with your little one!
